Mockbeggar Allotments, Whiteknights Road

Council has been carrying out works on the boundary between the Mockbeggar allotments and the back gardens of the Regis Park Development.

There have been problems reaching agreement, but eventually a ‘green’ solution has been found as residents told the Council they were against having a fence.  The troublesome sycamore tree has been taken out as it was already shading the allotments as well as spreading its seeds.  The boundary will be primarily hawthorn with some oak trees growing through it.

In time this should create an excellent environment for wildlife, be an attractive backdrop to residents’ gardens and provide an impermeable boundary keeping both sides secure in a growing season or two.

If you have any concerns about this do send me an email or ring me.
